Brehwis - Scoundrel’s Saga - Background 5Leagues Hero

Brehwis is a son of a large family seamerchants and sailors.

Working in the family business (skill: PACKING), he grew up learning to work hard but at the same time he knew the well-being thanks to the family wealth. In fact his family was an important member of the city merchant's guild.

But theese glory days are passed, his father became mad and lost his position as the head of the guild's branch dedicated to the search of ancient and magical items.

The sudden situation and the simultaneous lack of more experienced family members meant that Brehwis had to present himself, as head of the family, at the meeting for the renewal of offices called by the Guild Council. The result was that Brehwis' family was ousted from the position they had held for decades. 

At that point it was evident that the whole situation was a milling ordered by rival families. Brehwis, now dishonored and despised even by his own family, was forced to abandon his city. 
In order to  retrieve his position he became an adventurer and a treasure hunter.
Brewhis is willing to do anything to find something which can put his family in the right old place inside the guild.

Hego from Afhar - Scoundrel’s Saga - Background 5Leagues Hero

Born in a small town in the north-est kingdoms. 

Son of a chief of the border scout patrols (NOMAD WANDERER), one of many sons.

Hego fells in disgrace after committing a theft againts a local noble (related to the king's family) to avoid the marriage of this vicious figure with Hego’s secret love. 

The theft saved the young girl from the marriage but put Hego in disgrace. 

The noble's men investigation proved Hego’s guilt and due to the connection between the noble and the army upper echelons he was accused to be a spy. Hego decided to escape far away to avoid a certain death sentence disguised as a "fair" trial at the King’s court.

Following the plan devised with the advice of his father, Hego did not appear for the call in the capital and fled. The entire family denied him the protection of the clan, safeguarding their honor and avoiding more serious repercussions.

Scoundrels Saga - This is my county - ep.02

New episode of the Scoundrel saga.

Here the second part of the story of Marquand the Ambiguous and his dark men.

Here I remembered to split the enemy in 3 groups as rules said

Meanwhile on the right side... 

Here I was too engaged in the battle to remeber to take photos of the match. Sorry guys, trust me was epic and also funny. Full of tension and fast.

At the end our men held the field.

- The game was more fluid of the previous one

- Notekeeping remains the principal waste of time 

- I've to remeber to take pics of all turns

- I need to find another way to show you the turns. Screenshoots of the screen are crappy.
  Probably I've to learn something about html and similar

Shape the world!!!! - Foam cutter table

Hi guys 
After many years of thinking, I finally bought a foam cutter table. Probably you know this item thanks to the famous brand Proxxon.
As you can see in the pictures below, the two items have some differents.
These reflect the price gap.

Please really consider to buy Proxxon foam cutter if you need a better product or you have a bigger budget.

Otherwise go ob Ebay and buy the second one. 

I tested a couples day ago and it was great.

This tool is a FOAM CUTTER TABLE. It’s a arch with a string which is heated by electricity in order to cut foam and depron.

I bought it before BREXIT and I paid it 50 euros with two 32gr cords (for Depron),eight 30gr (white Polystyrene) and a plastic goniometer.
The arch is removible, so you can cut in freehand way. Or you can use it in the classic way, block it in fix position and shaping the foam on it.
The max cutting height is 18cm , while the max cutting width is 32cm

It's immediately ready to works in a couple of second.
The cut it's sharp and straight.

I assemble it and disassemble it in 3 minutes.

I thinking to mod it, maybe improving with a measurement scale on the borders, drawing a goniometer on the surface (with permanent ink), building a mobile wall to helping me on the vertical cut.

However, I reached good results also with an homemade solution ...using a big book as a surface on which slide the foam.

Out of there, there’re many solutions.. at the end, all the improvements available for Proxxon could be imported.

I hope you liked it and take a minute to think if it could be useful or your projects. 

I waited many years before buy it but I should have bought it time ago.

Marquand The Ambiguous - Scoundrel’s Saga - Background 5Leagues Hero

I will post some infos about the story of my main characters.

Naturally I start with the leader and most charismatic member of the band, the lost soul, Marquand The Ambiguous.

Born in a slum of a port city. Marquand is one of many illegitimate son of a renowned tradesman. He received only a basic education. Due to his condtion of bastard son, year after year, Marquand's hatred grew to create an unbridgeable gap between the two. Despite the father's effort, he became a tipical inn's scoundrel, full of revenge ’s spirit against his father. 

Due to some gambling debt he was forced to break-in the warehouse of the local loan shark. Clearly betrayed he was discovered. In the escape, he was able to stole a magical pendant (skill: ENDURANCE).

After years, the cutthroats send by the boss are still on his traces, searching him in order to recover the precious magical item and take his life.

Marquand is a tipical marauder who loves wine and beer, money, women and he hasnk any moral dubt.

He try to scam everyone and thanks to his "touch" with people he's able to save, in most of the cases, himself and his companions from the revenge of their victims (seducer: +1 in social challenge/contest/struggle), in the others ones, there aren’t problems that a blade can’t resolve.

Marquand can be very funny, gentle, seem a good person...but if you care about your life, don’t forget he isn't - never, you won't have another chance.

W.I.P. - RPG BASE for 15mm Miniatures

 

RPG Base

To helping me to record all the in-game status variations, I decided to build an aid tool. 

Here a 15mm Demonworld miniature on the "Rpg Base".

Holes for 4 possible stats or conditions; to rapresent these possibilities I'll use 5mm dice in 5 different colors.

Base: built using as template a 2 cent of Euro coin and a NY commemorative coin.

"Woodcarton" as material: two layers overlapped. 

First one as a base and the second one over with holes to contain miniature and four "status dice".

Use dice permit to record three variables in the same times: affirmative or negative condition thanks to the presence or absence of the nut, meanwhile color determines the type of variable we are recording eg. stunned, poisoned, wounded or others Cha condition. 

In the same time, using D6 dice it's possible track six different level of condition intensity (from 1 to 6) eg 1 wound, 2 wounds...

Scoundrels Saga - Looking for Troubles - ep.01

 I started my campaign

Some notes ...

- It's too hard track all things, play the game and make photos

- I created a table on Google Sheets to help me ... I will use it again - hoping to save time

- Rules are straightforward ... but I thing I need 1 or 2 more Campaign turn.

- Most over all .. I'm really pleased the game (all phases). It was super funny!

To implement

- Take better photos.

- Take photos of crucial moments

- Summarize the events of the battle (maybe after a couple of games - taking note of each steps help me to learn the system)

(ps 4 hours to create all that.. I've to really work on my workflow)
